Today the forest was full of cicada noise. Dried larva skins on the tree trunk show what vast number of cicadas emerged from underground.

Praying Mantis on the Window

My daughter took this photo a couple of days ago. She was playing a computer game when she spotted a praying mantis on her window. She took the camera quickly and shot the insect.

Tonga (3) - Spider Web

This amazing web with its creator in the centre was found while we walked among plantations on Tonga. It had at least two horizontal layers with a nest like a cocoon. The whole truly 3D construction ornamented by thick white lines was held by many threads.
