Country sunset and the secret of Natural Bridge

25 km west from well-known Waitomo Caves along Te Anga Rd is located Natural Bridge, a hidden beauty, created by water in limestone rocks. It is a great arch, 17 metres high and 40 m long above the calm river. But only darkness can reveal its real beauty - thousands of glow worms, which change it into the universe, when we stay inside the cove. That is why we waited nearby taking shots of surrounding landscapes at sunset.

Another surprise is just 5 minutes drive away - Marokopa Falls.

Here is a view from the lookout on the hilltop at Kawhia road. Because of long holidays we made a two days trip to some wonderful places.
Here you can see Kawhia Harbour, almost empty now at low tide, and the Tasman sea.

I have found that this picture is particularly good as a desktop wallpaper.

Foggy Sunset

We went to the sea cliff to watch comet McNaught, but failed. As you can see even the Sun was hardly visible that evening.
